How does one talk about matters which are rare in common conversation, even among dedicated Christians? How does one tell about what is observed on a personal spiritual journey? Perhaps by speaking in ways less defined and less precise.
I have chosen poetry, in it’s more abstract form, to express such matters. Poetry’s brevity, lack of the specific and ability to paint with broad strokes, allows each to fill in their own detail and possess their own understanding.
I can only write about what I have lived, personally experienced, the ground my physical and spiritual feet have traveled. I do not write to defend a doctrinal stance or persuade the sceptic, only to talk about where I have been. Technical precision or literary accomplishment are not my purpose here. My purpose is only a hope, a hope that for some what I have written will inspire.
