taste water from springs you find
refreshing.

I choose
to understand
you beyond my
capacity, my ability,
beyond any hope any
aspiration any desire for
knowing.

Briefest sight,
fleeting moments,
ephemeral impressions
of the eternal, impossible to
retain, but their mark remains
in changed perception, expanded
sight.

Standing on
the edge of all I
have known, I for a
moment pause. Desiring
what I have yet to see, longing
for what I cannot grasp, I onward
